Designer Description
After growing up doing a lot of construction, I joined the US Air Force and retired as a Computer Network Superintendent. With a lifelong hobby of building furniture and cabinetry, I transitioned to becoming a full-time cabinetry designer in 2004. Starting at a local showroom, I quickly took over as the designer for all the custom plans. Building strong relationships with several custom home builders, many followed me to Mead Lumber, where I am proud of the 20-year working partnerships developed with them.
I strive to create spaces—whether kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, bars, or other areas—where homeowners can work efficiently while enjoying aesthetically pleasing designs. Having worked with homeowners with styles ranging from very traditional to modern, I enjoy the challenge of turning diverse visions into reality. Every project presents a new challenge, which fuels my passion for the work. Additionally, I especially enjoys meeting and forming relationships with customers.
Recent Projects
Kitchen Remodels | Rapid City, SD
This mid-century ranch home was remodeled into a clean, contemporary space. The use of white allows for easy color changes with accessories, while the touch of wood on the island’s face pays homage to the 1950s when the home was built.
This 2nd project aimed to eliminate exposed cereal boxes on top of the refrigerator. It featured a traditional door style with a dark cherry finish, creating a beautiful, traditional kitchen and meeting space with a limited footprint.
Kitchen Remodel | Rapid City, SD
We used a lot of walnut in this new build, creating ample storage and beautiful spaces. The kitchen features a walk-through pantry leading to a cool butler’s pantry, while the bar showcases a stunning design where a bull appears to be crashing through backlit quartz.
