Designer Bio
Welcome! My name is Samantha – I am a kitchen and bath designer, servicing Grand Island, Nebraska and the surrounding areas. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2017 with a B.S. in Interior Design, and I have been in the design field ever since! I worked for a couple years at a design showroom in Kearney, and then in 2019, I moved to Grand Island and started working for Mead Lumber.
I have a passion for design and helping homeowners and contractors find the right materials for their project. I love getting into the details – especially with cabinetry! There are so many ways that I can help you customize your space to fit you!
I work with a variety of products and brands across cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and tile. Whether you are looking to replace your countertops, switch out your vanity, completely redo your space, or build your new dream home, I am here to help!
Recent Projects
Home Remodel | Grand Island, NE
For this project, we opened up the kitchen, dining room, and living room in a segmented ranch home, adding more storage and a large island for entertaining. We complemented the oak woodwork with stained oak floating shelf accents and oak visuals on the LVP flooring. Custom Wood Products provided cabinetry with specialized storage accessories, including an under-the-sink pullout and a base cabinet split between a trash pullout and drawers.
Kitchen Remodel | Brule, NE
With this bathroom, the goal was a bright, transitional style bathroom with vintage accents and influence. To allow for various types of storage while maintaining a uniform look, I designed the bottom drawers to be false double drawers. I included custom distressing on the cabinetry (without the use of a glaze to darken them) so that the cabinets feel more naturally worn like an antique.
