Designer Bio
I was born and raised in McCook, Nebraska. During high school, I developed an interest in architectural drafting and became proficient with drafting programs over the course of two years. After graduating high school in 2018, I decided to further my education at Southeast Community College. I earned an Associate’s Degree in the Science of Design and Drafting Technology, gaining extensive experience with AutoCAD and Revit programs, which are similar to the software I currently use at Mead Lumber.
After graduating in 2020, I worked at Menards in North Platte in the Building Materials Department. I then secured a paid drafting internship with Chief Ind. in Grand Island, where I worked for a year. Following this, I spent another year at Home Depot, also in the Building Materials Department. Eventually, I interviewed for and accepted the position of Kitchen and Bath Designer at Mead Lumber.
Recent Projects
Kitchen Remodel | McCook, NE
The cabinetry features Merillat Masterpiece in the Ganon door style, crafted from oak with a rich Kaffe stain finish, complemented by a White Ornamental granite countertop from Great Plains Countertops with a ½” roundover edge. The design includes an Oharco Karran QU-711 quartz concrete undermount sink, and the look is finished with 4” brushed oil-rubbed bronze Asher pulls from Hardware Resources.
Kitchen Remodel | McCook, NE
The scope of this project was to create a bar for tailgating parties. During the ordering process, the customer initially wanted a kegerator under the counter, which required a hole in the countertop for the handle. However, they later opted for a wine cooler instead. Fortunately, this change was made before the countertop was cut, making it an easy fix with a quick call to Great Plains Countertop. The rest of the project proceeded smoothly, aside from minor inconveniences like a backordered valance and additional trim being added later.
