Nola Tetrault Kitchen and Bath Designer Knecht Home Center of Spearfish

Nola Tetrault

Designer Bio

I have always had a love for design ever since I was a little girl and my family could attest to this as I was always redecorating my bedroom and had a love for all the “pretty houses” I would see on TV and in movies.  I didn’t really have the opportunity to pursue my love professionally until I moved to Spearfish, SD and a local fabricator noticed my knack for design and knowledge of granite and stones.  He jokingly asked if I’d like a job and by the following week, I was working for him. My favorite part was assisting customers in making selections in all areas of their home design and I became known as someone who could assist them with just that.

I have always prided myself on helping my clients to stay true to their own unique style and not get too caught up in whether something will be too trendy or not offer good re-sale.  I believe the most important thing is that you are the one who loves it.  I have been in my current position with Knecht Home Center/Mead Lumber for about 6 years now and love what I get to do.  I am always looking to learn more and enjoy seeking out the latest in all areas of home design.  There is nothing more fun to me than to be able to see inspiring designs in person at industry events, such as KBIS, or attend training events such as the one offered by Woodland Cabinetry in Chicago.  “Style is Forever” so I’m so glad I get to “Do What I Love” and “Love What I Do”!

Recent Projects

Kitchen Remodel | Spearfish, SD

This family was debating on cabinet finishes, so I offered three different stains for their cabinets, adding a unique touch to their new build. They chose quartz for their countertops and wanted a hidden pantry, blending style with practicality.

Home Remodel | Lead, SD

This was my third home with this client in the beautiful Lead, South Dakota Powder House Pass subdivision, and it was a whole new concept! Instead of the rustic styles we had done before, we went for a modern look. The client was uncertain at first but ended up loving it. We chose two finishes from Woodland’s frameless cabinet line, Artizen, both in their FA Loft style door with Vertical TSS material. This sleek, modern design contrasts beautifully with the Black Hills, visible through the large windows!

I'd love to work with you!
